Project Serenity takes place on planet Umbra, in a small galaxy at, literally, the edge of the universe. Umbra is a massive planet, many times larger than Earth. Its harsh, dark cold days make it nearly impossible to call its surface home. Although the nights on Umbra are very well lit, the five moons emit their own light, causing an the Umbrans to disregard the planets surface and instead live neneath the "sea". The water on Umbra is different from the water here on Earth for it does not have a molecular make-up instead it is a pure blue liquid simply called Blue Krysta. The Umbran's live deep down in this sea of Blue Krysta, this is how they have lived for centuries. They have learned the ways of utilizing the vairous types of Kryta at their disposal. In the time when Project Serenity takes place, the Umbrans have come to land and divided themselves and found new types of Krysta. Our Main Character Vincent was once killed and later brought back to help re-unite the Umbrans.

Project Serenity, as of now, is a FPS/RPG but I also do plan on adding a Civilation type SIM method of playing also. As far as what the player can do in this game, there is quite a bit. The player will be able to utilize a kind of magic system that we are calling Krysta. Krysta is a liquid that comes in many a flavor with each having it own positive and negative effects on the body. Within the Krysta system we plan to do something we've never really come across, but we want to get peoples input on it before we actually implement it. Considering that the planet of Umbra has gone through what we are calling The Great Divide, the surface of the planet is basically wastelands and ruins, except for one continent, Calbri. Calbri is one of the largest continent on this massive planet, Calbri is big enough to provide food for not only the people who live there but also to some of the other factions on the planet. If you have not read the back-story the factions are as follows: The Eruditus, The Brutes, The Anglers, The Gears, The Rangers, The Resistance (they don't really have a name yet), The Peacekeepers, and The Hybrids (not necessarily a faction, instead it is the Eruditus' army). The player will be able to join or detach themselves from any faction they want, as with most RPG's, and as far as how the story will go I plan on having various endings that depend on many different variables so that it is in no way linear. The reason for this is because I feel that RPG's with an open world should also have an open reality. What I mean is that the game should focus on the player and the virtual world by allowing the player to react in their own ways within the virtual world. I have spent a lot of time playing RPG's some great and some not too good, but I have always wanted to be able to do things my way in the game versus a preset list of options. I know it sounds crazy but I am positive that we will be able to do it, and I think that people will enjoy playing in a world that they control. This was the answer given when asked "What kind of game is Project Serenity and what are the things a player can do in this game?"
